If you live in or are visiting Wales (not the small village in South Yorkshire !)
Then do give the National Coal Museum in Wales a visit, also known as the big pit !
This is an award-winning museum that still retains many features of this coal mine, on the moors of Blaenafon.
The underground tunnels and buildings that once echoed to the sound of the miners now enjoy the sound of the footsteps and chatter of visitors from all over the world.
